3 New Features for the Family Tree

18 Jan 2008 by Dan Lawyer

We’ve been busy enhancing the information we present about people in the tree. We reworked some of the information in the summary panel, updated the details on a person page and added a family relationships view to the person page. Oh, and we fixed lots of bugs. Here are some images of the changes.

Family Summary
You can now see a summary of the family of the people you click on in the tree.

Record Search – 1900 Census Update & Virginia Funeral Records

11 Jan 2008 by Tim Crabb

Record Search continues to add to its collections of content.  We are pleased to add five additional states to the 1900 census collection, including: Michigan, Nebraska, Minnesota, and New Hampshire.  This means that only the territories of Hawaii and Alaska are missing – both of which will be added soon.

Also added was the Virginia Funeral Records.  This collection includes images of Colbert Funeral Home records in Fluvanna (and surrounding counties), Virginia from 1929 to 1976.   You can quickly navigate and view the images under the “Browse” section in Record Search.  The “Browse” interface was recently updated so as you view this collection please comment on this blog and let us know how well it works for you.
