Version 1.3 of the Record Search pilot is available.  This release features a number of enhancements from the look and feel to the types of searches that are available. 

Take some time to check it out and give us feedback on how we are doing.

The Family Tree has been updated with the following:

1. We added “Helpful Tips” to identify features that may not be obvious.
2. If you have folders open when you log off, those folders are open when you log back in.
3. We improved the graphics when selecting other spouses and other parents from the Tree tab.

We updated the Family Tree with the following:

• PERFORMANCE improvements
  • The system presents the pedigree faster.
  • Clicking on persons in the pedigree causes the summary information to be presented promptly.
• Search results preview
  • From the search results, we can see a preview of an ancestor’s tree and summary panel and choose to go to the tree or open the ancestor’s folder.
• Goto pedigree navigation
  • To return to someone previously clicked on in the pedigree, click the Goto pulldown and select the name.
• Arrow keys and home key move the pedigree
  • Instead of using a mouse to reposition the pedigree, up/down/left/right arrows can be used to move the pedigree.  The home key also repositions the pedigree such that the primary person is in view.
• Hovering on names in the summary invokes a popup
  • In the summary panel to the right of the pedigree, when viewing children, we can hover over one of the children to view addition information about the child.
• Multiple folders can be opened and referred to
  • From search, from the pedigree, or from a family view, person folders can be opened.  Multiple folders remain open in the Folders tab while continueing to navigate the pedigree or search results.
