Part 1 of 7: A Question and Answer Session with FamilySearch Regarding the online TempleReady Replacement

Question 1: Why can’t I correct erroneous information about my family?
The short answer: Only the user that has added the information like names, birth, or death dates is allowed to change the information. We do not think this is working very well.
The long answer: The family tree is the first system offered by FamilySearch to allow everyone to work on the same set of information for their ancestors. FamilySearch took literally hundreds of millions of records submitted by Church members over the years and combined them into one shared system online where people can see what is already known about their ancestors, correct and add additional information, determine which ancestors need temple work, and submit their names to the temples.
